The
Department intends to frame assessment of all monthly and quarterly return
filing dealers for Tax period of July, August and September, 2012 and Second quarter
2012-13 respectively, on the basis of mismatch in the data filed by dealers in Annexure
2A and 2B online. The assessment of penalty will also be framed simultaneously
under Section 86(10) of DVAT Act, 2004.
The
dealers can check the status mis-matching in the data filed by them with the
data filed by respective selling dealers in “Mismatch Report” available online
on the Department’s website www.dvat.gov.in on the dealer login page under the
link “Annexure 2A & 2B” The assessment will be framed based on status of
data as on 18/01/2013 and the assessment and penalty orders will be issued
within next five working days. The same
will be sent to each of the dealers by ordinary post and also hosted on the Department’s
website on the dealer login page under the link “Assessment Order”.
All dealers
are, therefore, requested
to check the
status of the on
line “Mismatch Report” and get the mismatch reconciled, latest by 17.01.2013,
to avoid additional tax, interest and penalty.
